Citadel

Hello Gladiators! My name is Jason Meyer, and I am an Assistant Principal at the Citadel site at GOAL High School. With a foundational background in music education and administration, I found my niche working with diverse student populations, which solidified my philosophy that “all students have the desire, ability, and capacity to learn”. In my own educational journey, I achieved 3 bachelor’s degrees from the University of Northwestern, St. Paul and a master’s degree from the University of Northern Colorado. In addition to teaching and principal licenses, I have also gained a myriad of certifications in areas such as cognitive coaching, restorative practices, and as a Microsoft Advanced Educator. Outside of education, some activities I enjoy are spending time with my family, leading worship at church, playing games (board games, video games, word games, etc.), and both playing and watching sports. Although I am originally from Minnesota, after moving to Colorado, my wife and I have embraced life on the front range, and our family has happily called “the Springs” home ever since.
