About Our Site
Hello Gladiators! I hope you all are doing well and having a fantastic day. My name is Kyle York and I am the Principal of the Colorado Springs Region for GOAL High School. Throughout my years in education I have fought to build several alternative high schools and earned many grants to support students that don’t fit in the regular brick and mortar school model. It is my passion to provide a school environment that is flexible to our students and parents needs. Enroll today in one of our amazing drop in centers here in the Springs and change your world. Gladiators! My name is Joe Hites and I am the Assistant Principal at the South and Fountain sites. After a 30+ year career as a health/leadership teacher and head basketball coach, it has always been my passion to prepare our students for real world success – long after their academic and athletic careers have ended. When I saw GOAL High School’s mission and vision statements, they called to my heart. Getting kids to embrace that life’s windshield is so much more important than the rearview mirror of the past is vital to having a present and empowering ‘what now’ mindset. I am honored to be part of a special team that is committed to supporting student journeys in alternative and personalized ways that traditional brick and mortar models just can’t. Hello Gladiators! My name is Arrica (Air-ree-ka) Gilmer and I am the Dean at the Fountain site. This is my ninth year here at GOAL high school and I have been a classroom and online teacher for the past 12 years in various capacities and grade levels. I have taught in several different learning environments. From your traditional brick and mortar classroom setting, to a high-energy and hands-on ESL learning environment in China, to an online blended experiential learning setting where students learned core concepts through interactions with nature and the outdoors. I love supporting our team here at GOAL High School and am equally passionate about providing support to our students and their families.
