Ted Del Duca

President

Ted Del Duca serves as the Board President at Goal Academy High School. Ted is the General Manger and Director of Sales for Breakthrough Interactive Inc., a national supplier of high-end commercial interior design and products. He opens the line of communication between organizations that have a common interest. With over 30 years in both public and private sectors, Ted has experience in sales, management, team building, professional development, strategic implementation, and company collaboration.

An entrepreneur at heart Ted is skillful and dynamic in engaging business opportunities. Ted is well known for helping his community. He enjoys representing his many business interests and regularly speaks at meetings of different community organizations. Ted has proudly served as a member on many boards including: Parkview Hospital, The McClelland School, CSU Athletics, Friends of Football, The Sister City Commission and The Chamber of Commerce.

Ted is a graduate of the University of Colorado and hold degrees is Business Management and Business Entrepreneurship.

Mark Maryak

Vice President

Mark Maryak is Chief Pilot of CAE Doss Aviation for the USAF’s Initial Flight Training (IFT) program, a position he has held since July 2009. IFT provides ground and flying training for USAF, USMC and international military student pilot candidates, combat system officer candidates and remotely piloted aircraft pilot candidates in preparation for follow-on flight training.

As Chief Pilot, Mr. Maryak is responsible for overseeing the manning of all positions within the instructor force, directing the execution of academic course training, managing scheduling activities, and supervising standardization and evaluation processes to ensure all flying-related contractual obligations are met safely and efficiently. His program covers all aspects of flight training operations, ensuring CAE Doss continuously provides outstanding service to the United States Air Force (USAF), United States Marine Corps (USMC) and coalition partners.

Mr. Maryak started with Doss Aviation as an Instructor Pilot in Pueblo, Colorado. He then progressed through increasing levels of managerial responsibility up to Chief Pilot of the USAF IFT program in 2009. His program is the first step in the Air Force Undergraduate Flying Training process.

Mr. Maryak holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from the United States Air Force Academy, a master’s degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Louisiana Tech University and a master’s degree in Military Art and Science from the United States Air Force’s Air Command and Staff College. He is also a graduate of the United States Air Force’s Squadron Officer School and Air War College.

Mr. Maryak is an Air Force Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) with over 21 years of service. He has experience in operational flying, flight training, personnel management, program management, and operational planning. During his 21 years, he served on various staffs and in various command positions. While in the Air Force, he was a pilot, instructor pilot, and evaluator pilot with over 4,000 hours in the B-52G/H and T-34C and has flown the T-37 and T-38. He flew in combat operations during Operations DESERT STORM and ENDURING FREEDOM. He also commanded the 20th Bomb Squadron (B-52s) at home and during combat operations.

Luis Contreras is the Vice President and Senior Relationship Manager for TBK Bank, his employer for over a decade. Prior to that, Mr. Contreras spent six years with 1st State Bank. He hails from San Diego, California – a first generation college graduate and son of immigrant parents. The University of Southern Colorado (now C.S.U. – Pueblo) recruited Luis and he came to Pueblo on a baseball scholarship. Pueblo has been home ever since. His education and degree in Business Management has served him well in the banking industry and Luis, his wife, a teenage son and daughter enjoy family time, golf, and helping others. Luis also volunteers his time to United Way, S.R.D.A. Meals on Wheels, and is a local Boy Scout troop leader, where his son recently achieved the coveted Eagle Scout honor. He currently serves in the valuable role of treasurer for GOAL Academy High School and is a valuable asset in the fiscal and overall management of the school.

CJ has managed to incorporate her passion for workforce development and education into an amazing career.

CJ Renaud embodies the collaborative spirit and brings her past experiences from a career in law enforcement, K-12 education and Post-Secondary education into her current role. Renaud is building relationships with community leaders, business owners and organizations to open pathways of opportunity for all individuals aspiring to increase their knowledge and skills. She’s been championing collaborative efforts for 20+ years and has seen the value these connections create. They are powerful and impactful at home, work and the community.

Joel Boyd

Board Director

Mr. Joel Boyd is a Colorado Native raised in the Denver/Aurora area. Currently, Joel is the General Manager of the Town Center at Aurora a million square feet shopping center with over 125 stores. He oversees operations, marketing events and new and current tenants. Before working at TCA Joel worked in the Mayor’s Office in Denver as well as at the RE/MAX World headquarters and served on the Denver Planning Board and several school development/design committees. He currently serves on the GOAL Academy High School Board of Directors; in addition, he serves on the Aurora Chamber Board and the Aurora Rotary Board. Joel enjoys GOLF, his dog Harpo! (Looks like Oprah), the new Ford Bronco, hiking, most sports and all music. He has one son Jalan (24). “I am excited to be a part of GOAL Highschool’s board and I am looking forward to the partnership and great things!”

Leaza Silver is an award-winning, experienced educator, mentor, trainer, sales professional, community-builder, and program manager with over 25 years’ experience in the education industry. She currently is a Senior Business Applications Executive at Microsoft, where she helps education customers leverage Microsoft investments as productively as possible, while identifying district and organization needs related to Dynamics 365 and Power Platform. She has been working at Microsoft since 2015 and has held various roles on the education industry team there.

She has experience as a professional learning consultant where she provided strategic planning, technology integration, and customized professional development for educators, IT professionals, school leadership, and students on the usage of Microsoft tools for application in a K12 environment.

She has a rich background in education, having taught students aged preschool through eighth grade in various public, private, and charter school settings in Colorado as a classroom teacher, instructional technology leader, mentor, and academic coach from 1997 – 2015.

She is passionate about empowering learners of all ages and backgrounds with the skills and tools they need to succeed in the digital age. She is always eager to learn new things and share her knowledge and experience with others. She believes that technology can transform education and create positive impact in the world. Serving on the GOAL Board is an honor for her; she is happy to help support the mission to continue to develop productive, successful members of society.

Leaza has been married to her best friend, Andy, for over 21 years and they have two fabulous children, Brennan and Emmeryn, both in high school. They live in Aurora and are natives to Colorado. They love their Cornish Rex cats, Axel and Eva. In her free time, Leaza’s competitive nature is happiest when playing trivia, ping-pong, and a variety of board games with friends.

Originally from Lamar, CO, Jrace moved to Colorado Springs in 2005 to attend the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. While in college, she volunteered with the Boys & Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region her senior year and fell in love with the mission and youth. Jrace joined the Boys & Girls Club movement in May of 2009 right after graduating with a dual degree in Psychology and Communication.

Over her 13.5 years with BGCPPR, she has held various roles from Club level to administration. Currently, Jrace is the Vice President where she focuses on supporting the President/CEO, fundraising, special projects, and strategic partnerships to support and enhance the organization.

Jrace is married to Mario, a mechanical contractor, for 20 years. Jrace currently serves and feels honored to be on the TESSA and GOAL High School boards as she believes in their missions. Jrace enjoys spending time with family and friends as well as being outdoors and staying active.
