Open Records Request
What is CORA?
“CORA” stands for “Colorado Open Records Act” In the spirit of open government, the Colorado Open Records Act (24-72-201 to 24-72-309, C.R.S.) requires that most public records be available to the public. Anyone can request information that is in the possession of our office.
*GOAL Academy reserves the right to charge for administrative time with each CORA request. Expansive requests in particular may be subject to the $30 per hour administrative fee allowed by state CORA statues. We will notify the requesting party of the amount of administrative hours it anticipates will be required to meet the request. Work will only begin on the request after payment for the amount of anticipated administrative hours is received
Formal Requests
Any citizen wishing to make a formal request for information may fill out Colorado Open Records Act request form.
The statute gives everyone broad access to government records throughout the state.
