PUEBLO, CO.  May 11, 2023 —Twenty-eight companies were selected as Colorado’s Top Workplaces for the large company category – over five-hundred employees. GOAL Academy High School, a statewide charter school authorized by District 49 and headquartered in Pueblo, has been honored and is the only school on the short list. GOAL High School, established in 2007, has pioneered and continues to work on perfecting an educational model which features online curriculum with face-to-face support.

Using an anonymous employee engagement survey, provided by Energage, company culture is assessed. Energage looks for “individual passion working toward shared success.” GOAL’s mission of developing productive members of society attracts individuals with a heartfelt desire to help young people. Mr. Ron Vigil, Director of Human Resources for GOAL puts it this way: “Employees come for the mission and stay for the culture.”

Vigil and his team pursue innovative solutions like hybrid work-from-home and school combinations that are very attractive to staff members. GOAL also provides an impressive benefits package and strongly emphasizes wellness and work-life balance.
