About Our Site

What is a GOAL student drop-in center? It is a dedicated space designed to support GOAL High School students and families. These centers offer a welcoming, comfortable and secure environment. Our friendly staff are here to warmly assist you with academic, social-emotional or technology needs. You can connect with your academic coach, teachers, counselors and any other staff members who are eager to build relationships and help you thrive. All GOAL students are encouraged to visit any of the forty drop-in centers around the state. Come and experience the caring and personalized support we offer firsthand!

Cameron McLaughlin graduated from Poudre High School in Fort Collins, Colorado before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in History Education from Colorado State University in 2007. In 2016, he graduated from the American College of Education with a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership. Cameron began teaching Social Studies in 2007 in the subjects of World History, Psychology, Physical Education, US History and Government in the small mountain town of Westcliffe, Colorado. He has also coached Wrestling for over 10 years in Illinois and Colorado. Cameron started his career at GOAL High School in 2010 as a homeroom instructor. Over the past 12 years, he has worked at GOAL in a variety of positions before becoming the Principal in 2016.

My name is Kimberly Tappy (Tappy), I am the Assistant Principal for the Sterling Site. Here at GOAL we prepare you for your endeavors after you have successfully reached your ultimate educational goal of Graduation. This mean we support all students with their Educational Goals, Social Emotional Needs, and prepare them for their POST Secondary Goals.
